The Hydro Mite Landing Gear Strut Service Stand
is designed to service aircraft oleo-pneumatic landing gear shock struts at all maintenance levels with
filtered hydraulic oil and nitrogen. The stand is a self-contained, portable, hydraulic pumping unit which
will accurately service aircraft landing gear shock struts with fresh oil and nitrogen in minutes, ensuring
rapid aircraft turnaround. The system includes a gasoline, diesel, propane,
or electric driven high pressure pump with pressure compensator,
micron filters, one forty-gallon fresh oil tank, one forty-gallon waste oil
tank, and forty feet of high pressure hose on each retractable hose reel. Control of flow to and from the
strut is achieved through the use of valves on the instrument panel. The system is housed within a weather-resistant
steel cabinet mounted on a pneumatic tire trailer assembly finished in white paint and black anodized instrument panel.
Instruments and controls are permanently nameplated to identify their function. Hinged doors provide quick access for
routine inspection, maintenance, and service. A heavy duty towbar with lunette eye and steerable front
wheel make the unit highly maneuverable and facilitates towing speeds up to twenty miles-per-hour.
Hand-operated parking brakes are provided.
